TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPRING SYSTEM
The core of our innerspring mattress is the Bonnell Spring system.
The Bonnell Spring is widely used internationally by Bed Manufacturers, and is a time proven system which provides a great platform of support for innerspring mattresses.
The benefits of a Bonnell Spring Mattress are as follows:
- Greater shape integrity and performance
- Uniform Support over the Sleeping Surface
- It offers Support for your body.
- Helps in the prevention of Back Pain
- Allows ventilation of air, thereby providing a cooler sleep environment
The Bonnell coil has an hour glass shape – wider at the bottom and the top than the middle.
Bonnell Spring Systems are manufactured by heating steel and shaping it to the right dimensions to form the Bonnell spring shape. The individual Bonnell Springs are then interconnected using a Helicoil Wire, resulting in the Bonnell Spring Set.
In most cases, a sturdy Edge Wire Frame is attached to the Spring Set (Top and Bottom). This enhances the shape and form of the Spring Set, and gives enhanced strength and support to the mattress edge.

reinforce the support at the edge of the mattress, and increases the useful area of the Sleeping Surface
POSTURE BARS
are inserted across the Mid-Section of the mattress to provide additional support for the Hip.
STIFFY INSULATION PAD
we place Needled Fire pads directly onto the Spring Set as the primary layer.
This pad not only alleviates “Spring Feel”, it also prevents the ingression of the other Comfort Layers into the Spring.
This is the Foundation Support Layer.
COMFORT & SUPPORT LAYERS
we combine various Foam Pads of various densities, and Needled Fibre Pads together to achieve various levels of Comfort and Support according to the personal and budget requirements of our customers.
QUILTED SLEEPING PANELS
the Sleeping Panels comprise a Ticking (Fabric), which is Quilted together with various layers of Lofted Fibre and Foam to provide the upper Comfort layer.

Our Base Frames are well designed and engineered to provide a sturdy support platform for our mattresses.
They are constructed from Kiln Dried Pine Timber.
The Bases are covered with attractive Ticking (fabric), and are supported by a selection of good quality legs.
